A. Report Content

The Summary of Deposit Market Share Report provides branch office deposits, summarized by institution or bank holding company, within the selected geographic market. All of the information is based on the reported location of the branch office deposits.
Each report displays:

  1. Selected criteria (geographic information)
  2. “As of” date.
  3. Institution or Bank Holding Company – with hyperlink to the institution’s latest financial data.
  4. FDIC Certificate Number – with a link to a listing of all of the institution’s branch office deposits, regardless of location.
  5. State where the institution is chartered (headquartered).
  6. Bank Class.
  7. State of Federal charter.
  8. Outside of Market – number of offices and summarized deposit amounts (in thousands of dollars) of all branch offices for the institution located outside of the selected geographic market criteria.
  9. Inside of Market - number of offices and summarized deposit amounts (in thousands of dollars) of all branch offices for the institution located in the selected geographic market criteria. The corresponding market share in percent is also shown.

B. State->County->City->Zip Code Report options:

  1. Custom Market Share, by Institution
    The geographic criteria are selected by state, county, city or zip code. These criteria can be combined with other combinations to create custom markets. The results are summarized by institution and listed in order of market share.
  2. Custom Market Share, by Bank Holding Company (BHC) and Institution
    The geographic criteria are selected by state, county, city or zip code. These criteria can be combined with other combinations to create custom markets. The results are summarized by Bank Holding Company and institution. The Bank Holding Companies are listed in order of market share.
  3. State, by Institution
    The data represents all branch office deposits within the selected state. The results are summarized by institution and are listed in order of market share.
  4. County Summary Totals only
    The data represents all branch office deposits within the selected state. The results are summarized by county within the selected state and are listed in order of market share.
  5. Zip Code, by Institution
    The data represents all branch office deposits within the selected zip code. The results are summarized by institution and are listed in order of market share.

C. MSA and FDIC Geographic Region Report Option

  1. Market Share by Institution (rename old Market Share (highest to lowest)) The data represents all branch office deposits within the selected geographical area (Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), FDIC Region, etc). The results are summarized by institution and are listed in order of market share.
  2. Bank Holding Company and Institution (rename old Bank Holding Company or Institution) The data represents all branch office deposits within the selected geographical area (Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), FDIC Region, etc). The results are summarized by Bank Holding Company and institution and are listed in order of market share.

D. Market Presence Report / Growth Rate Report

The Market Presence Report identifies where an institution operates geographically; Nationally or by state, county or Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), in a single report.
The Growth Rate Report provides the ability to compare two years of data for any FDIC-insured institution or bank holding company nationally or by state, county or MSA.
Each of these reports are available using the following options:

  1. National Report – by state. - This report will default to showing only the states where the institution has a presence. There is a supression option that will allow all states to appear even when there is no data for the institution. The report also provides the national deposit market share for the selected institution.
  2. All States and All Counties - This is the same as the National Report except that it provides detail at the individual county level for each state. Please note that this can be a very long report.
  3. Single State and County - This report provides state and county data for only the state that the user selects from the drop box for the selected institution.
  4. MSA - This report provides data for the selected institution for each Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) that the institution reports deposits in a branch location.
