   SOD Download Help
ATTENTION! The Summary of Deposits (SOD) application will be discontinued by the end of 2024. A new and improved SOD application is being developed and is available for preview now. Explore the latest beta version of the application here. We welcome your comments and suggestions.

Select the report date, state or National Download and variables from the drop-down boxes below. The National Download file will result in the complete SOD file for the selected year. Individual state files can be modified so that the download file includes only the variables that are selected. Choose the data variables by clicking in the checkboxes at left. Add or change the groups of variables by selecting from the variable drop box

All options will result in a comma separated variable (CSV) file that can easily be imported into an EXCEL spreadsheet and/or used in a database program.

Clicking on any of the information icons will provide definitions for the selected variables.

Data Availability - although this data is available back to 1994, the most current data available will be the default.

Geographic Options - the user has the option to select any one state or the national download by selecting "National Download". At this time, the "National Download" download will include all variables, regardless of the user's selections.

Data Variables - For state specific downloads, the user has the option to select which variables should be included. The data is divided into three groups:
  1. Branch/Office - data specific to the branch office location
  2. Institution - data specific to each institution
  3. Bank Holding Company - data specific to each bank holding company
The custom download feature allows the user the option to "Select All" variables, select specific variables or no variables within each group. The report date, institution name and certificate number will automatically be included along with the branch office unique identification number in every download.

All options will result in a comma separated variable (CSV) file that can easily be imported into an EXCEL spreadsheet and/or used in a database program. Once you have identified the type of download that suits your needs, you can begin the process below:

  1. Select the date: the most current year is the default.
  2. Select individual state.
  3. Select variables: for each variable group, select any of the variables by either clicking the "Select All" box or by checking each desired variable.
  4. Select NEXT to continue the process.
  5. Save (to your selected location) or Open the file.
